Maggie Price is a co-founder and former editor of The Pastel Journal, a national magazine for pastel artists. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, the Pastel Society of New Mexico, Plein Air New Mexico, APOW, and a member of the Pastel Society of the West Coast and the Great Lakes Pastel Society.
Maggie emphasizes personal instruction in a supportive and friendly atmosphere during her workshops. Daily demonstrations and personal assistance at each artist's easel gives her an opportunity to share information gained from years of experience painting in pastel, as well as that gathered through writing about art and artists. Her husband, artist
Bill Canright, gives occasional demonstrations on specific techniques or subjects, and assists artists as needed and generally helps make the workshops run smoothly.

Nestled in the Genal Valley of the Andalucian mountains in Southern Spain are a group of pueblos blancos (white villages), the loveliest of which is Júzcar. With a population of less than 200, much of the village has changed little over hundreds of years. We'll base there, staying at a beautiful, rustic but comfortable hotel with a fantastic chef, and take day trips to surrounding villages. The trip package includes hotel, almost all meals, transportation for day trips and to and from Måalaga airport, and tuition. Download the flyer for more comprehensive information or contact Maggie Price.

Thank you so much for the delightful adventure in Spain! I learned so much about plein air painting and probably never would have seriously tried it without the Spain experience. Having such a charming retreat at the Hotel Bandolero with gourmet meals and great laughs with new friends only enhanced the total experience.
—Caryl Joy Young, Arkansas
Chock-full of invaluable, no-nonsense, common-sense, no-secrets-held-back information and guidance for pastel artists on every level!"
